OSAGE — A Minnesota man was arrested Oct. 18 in connection with the theft of several hundred head of feeder pigs from producers in northern Mitchell County.

John Arnold Arndt, 44, of Hayfield, Minn., was taken into custody in Minnesota by deputies form Mitchell County and Mower County, Minn. on several felony charges including: ongoing criminal conduct, first-degree theft, conspiracy, offenses related to animal production facilities, and misdemeanor possession or burglary tools.

He is being held on $47,000 bond in the Mower County jail pending extradition to Iowa.

Authorities said additional arrests are anticipated as the investigation continues.
